You can ask us to delete your data at any time. This page explains how, what we delete, and how long it takes. It also covers removing InboxMitra from your Instagram or Facebook account.
1. Delete from your dashboard
- Disconnect one account: go to Settings → Connected accounts, choose the account and tap Disconnect. We delete its access token straight away and its contacts and messages within 30 days.
- Delete everything: go to Settings → Delete account. This deletes your workspace, connected accounts, automations, contacts and messages.
2. Remove InboxMitra from Instagram
- Open Instagram and go to your profile.
- Open Settings and find “Apps and websites” (sometimes under “Website permissions”).
- Under Active, select InboxMitra and tap Remove.
When you remove the app, Meta tells us automatically and we delete the data we hold for that account. Menu names in Instagram can change; if you can’t find the option, email us instead.
3. Remove InboxMitra from Facebook
- Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Open “Apps and websites” (sometimes under “Business integrations” for Pages).
- Find InboxMitra and tap Remove.
As with Instagram, Meta notifies us and we delete the related data.
4. Ask us by email
Email hello@inboxmitra.com with the subject “Data deletion request” from the email address you used with us. Tell us whether it is about the waitlist, your account, or a specific Instagram/Facebook account. We may ask you to confirm it’s really you.
5. What we delete
- Access tokens and details of connected Instagram and Facebook accounts.
- Contacts, comments and messages processed for you, and your automations.
- Your waitlist entry (name, email, WhatsApp number, Instagram username).
- Your account and workspace, if you delete your account.
We keep only what the law requires — for example invoices and payment records for tax purposes — and anonymous totals that cannot identify anyone.
6. How long it takes
We complete deletion within 30 days and email you when it is done. Deleted data also disappears from our backups as they rotate.
7. If a business contacted you through InboxMitra
If you got a message from a business that uses InboxMitra, that business decides how your data is used. Ask them first. You can also email us with your Instagram username and the business’s name, and we will pass your request on and help delete your data. See our Privacy Policy for more.
